28,080,000 imperforate stamps were printed In February of 1919 and about 27,314,000 released. The first day of sale was February 27, 1919.
This 50h stamp would be replaced by an Abstract Design stamp in August 1919 and is the only non-early-phase Captioned Design stamp so honored.

There were two printings of the 50h Circles Design 50h: the first on February 24, 1919 and the second on June 30, 1919. By August, the Circles Design for this denomination would be replaced by an Abstract Design 50h.
