Hradčany Abstract Design: Final Phase
The final phase of this design is distinguished by the fact that it consists of a single stamp physically larger than any other Hradčany stamp — the 30h purple. Postal authorities intended that this denomination be released only in perforated form, but several imperforate panes fell into the public's hands.
The stamp was originally released in a dark color that, for technical reasons (panes often had a checkered appearance)was later changed to a lighter color. The two colors may be separately plated for certain positions.

Light and Dark Releases
Czech catalogs also recognize two type variations of the 30h. The two types are based upon a tiny difference in the rendering of the lower wrapping on the right linden tree trunk and the presence or absence of a small splotch between the left linden tree trunk and the adjacent tower.
