Perforation Types
The entire series was comb perforated 13¾ by 13½. The Monografie identifies three layouts for these comb perforations.
Type A, in which the perforation cantilevers out into the selvage on both sides, requires a full row of stamps with edge selvage to identify. Types B and C may be indentified by a single uncantilevered stamp (again with selvage) from the appropriate edge of the pane: Type B's uncantilevered indicator is at the right edge, Type C's uncantilevered indicator at the left edge. Of course, single stamps showing a cantilevered perforation cannot unambiguously be assigned to any of the three types.
